今日は友達をホワイトオークシンクと言う地図には載っていない所へ連れて行きました。スクールハウスギャップと言うトレイルを半分行ったところに”no horse”と書いたサインとさくがある所が入り口ですが、道がきれいにほそうされていないので、そこを知っている人と行くか地図かＧＰＳを持っていかないと迷う可能性があるので気を付けてください。
The peak time for this trail is in the middle of April. Some of the wild flower pictures I posted earlier were from here. It is THE MOST AMAZING, beautiful place in the smoky, in my opinion.
1番きれいな時期は4月の半ばです。私的にはスモーキーで1番きれいな場所だと思います。
This sink supposed to have 2 caves, old cabin, and a trail/way which meet top of schoolhouse trail, but I was advised to carry GPS or map or someone who knows the place well so I don’t get lost there.
そのシンクには2つの洞穴、古い家、そしてスクールハウストレイルの最後にたどり着く道があるらしいのですが迷いやすいので気を付けて。
Last time I went in, I luckily found the Rainbow Fall Cave, which you can see rainbow on the waterfall every time sun hits. I wanted to show my friends the waterfall today, but rainbow didn’t happened… However, there were white flowers (new to me) all over the area, so it wasn’t total waste. I thought April is the only time for flowers, but something keeps blooming there.
私が最初に行ったときにたどり着いたレインボウ滝と洞穴は、光を浴びると虹が滝の中に見えると言う滝で、友達にも是非見てほしかったのでつれてきたのですが残念ながら曇り気味で虹は見えずじまいに。でも白い野花が一面に咲いていたので、まあ来たかいはありました。

On the way back, I finally stopped at the coffee shop I was dying to try. It is on Townsend and it is the ONLY coffee shop in that area I believe. I got a frappe (frozen coffee milk drink) and it was AWSOME! I highly recommend it, but there is a big problem. There is no restroom!!! Hike+coffee=restroom! Make sure you stop at the visitor center before you get there!
帰りはいつも気になっていたタウンセンにあるコーヒーショップへ寄りました。フラッペと言う凍ったコーヒーミルクの飲み物で少し甘みが多いけどこれが美味しい。お勧めですがこのお店に問題が… トイレがないのです。なので、このお店に行くまでのビジターセンターで済ませてから寄りましょう。
