The Market

I found this store about a month ago and I am so hooked!
It is in Maryville just before you get to the Maryville College. It is called “the Market”
They mainly sell locally grown food, which I think is tasty and safe because it is fresher. Also, I LOVE to support the local farmers because they really try to produce the best quality food with A LOT OF care. I will really starve to death if they quit because I hate to eat preservative injected food.

このお店は1年も経たない新しいお店です。
メリビルカレッジの近くで“Ｔｈｅ　Ｍａｒｋｅｔ”と言います。
日本でよく見る道の駅のような感じで、中ではこの辺りで育てられた野菜や豚肉、鶏肉などが主に売られています。新鮮で、余分な薬物を使わないように飼育されているお肉は、安全性や健康にも良いので、ちょっと割高だけれどもここで全部買うようにし始めました。

As the sign says, the Market is on the corner of Washington and High street.

As soon as you go inside, you will see this. You can order food and eat in if you want.

中に入るとスープやサラダ、今日のスペシャルなど買える簡単なレストランがあります

I ordered today’s special and all were about $10 and DELICIOUS! I love spending money wisely! (Can you see interesting beer selections in the back ground?)

私はお腹がちょうど減っていたので早速スペシャルとビールを頼みました。全部で10ドルぐらい。これがなかなか旨い!　

Other side of the building, there are booth for fisher, butcher, and chicken farmer. All look really fresh! I tried the sausage from the pig farmer and they were really good.

もうちょっと中に入るとお魚や、お肉、野菜が買える所があります。お肉屋さんでお肉屋さんの友達のレストラン経営者が作ったソーセージを買ったのですがそれがまたいけてる。（豚肉専門店のおじさんはブタに似てるのですぐにどこかわかると思います :）

Also, vegetables…

野菜もまあまあちらほらと…（季節の性かそんなになかった）

But I had to check out locally baked goods. I did buy brownie-cheese cake… Mmmmm it was good.

焼き菓子など好きな私は手作りのブラウニーチーズケーキをお試しに買ってみました。上がチーズケーキ下がブラウニーという単純な物でしたが、おいしかった

And my newest favorite drink is sold here too!
Cruze Farm is the one of only two farmers in TN who bottle their milk on their own without homogenization. Once you drink, you can’t go back to the regular milk!

私がつい最近に発見したクルーズファーム牛乳がここで売られている。
クルーズファームの牛乳はその牧場で全部その日に瓶詰めされていて、余計な処理や薬物が入ってなくそれがまたおいしい!　テネシーでそういう風にミルクを作っているのはこのクルーズファームと他にもうひとつだけ!　ということで是非是非試してください!（ここのミルクは普通の牛乳のように脂肪の調節をしないので脂肪が上に溜まります。良く振って飲んでください）
